From Cape Coast to St. Louis — Building a Career in Finance

I am a graduate student at Washington University in St. Louis — Olin Business School, pursuing a Master of Science in Business Analytics with a FinTech concentration. My academic journey began at the University of Cape Coast in Ghana, where I earned a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and developed a deep foundation in financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and data-driven decision-making.

My professional experience spans financial operations at the University of Cape Coast's Directorate of Finance and a banking internship at Anum Rural Bank, where I worked directly on transaction reconciliation, client record management, and process optimisation. These roles gave me hands-on exposure to the operational realities of financial institutions — and a clear view of where technology can drive meaningful improvement.

I am building at the intersection of finance and technology. Through my work on MarketRise Capital and my graduate coursework in machine learning, big data, and financial technology, I am developing the analytical toolkit to evaluate performance, model risk, and communicate insights that drive better investment and business decisions.
